At T Buy One Get One =LINK= Free Movie Ticket

T-Mobile really wants to get the public in favor of the merger between it and Sprint. The company announced that if the merger with Sprint goes through, it will offer 10 years of free, unlimited 5G service to first responders.

Basically, right now, AT&T Thanks amounts to buy-one-get-one movie tickets on Tuesdays, starting June 30. You can buy one movie ticket ("at select theaters") and get another ticket for equal or lesser value for free.

But to get the ticket, you need to receive a coupon code by text message. The fine print gets a little confusing: "Customer must complete online validation process to receive coupon code for use on redemption website to purchase tickets."

AT&T fired the first volley in early June, unveiling "AT&T Thanks," a program that offered perks like a buy-one-get-one-free offer on movie tickets (on Tuesdays) and a few other hastily put together features.

Four days later, T-Mobile followed up with its T-Mobile Tuesday program, which offered free pizza, Frosty's desserts from Wendy's, digital movie rentals, as well as the promise of shares for some customers. T-Mobile's program kicked in the next day, while AT&T offered its first perk at the end of the month.

The numbers reflect the reality of competition in the wireless business, with carriers aggressively vying for your business and where even a free pizza can make a difference. T-Mobile will almost certainly report higher growth in the same period when it releases its second-quarter results next week.

Postpaid wireless subscribers of AT&T will be treated to a free ticket when they purchase one at full price on Tuesday movie showings. Participating theaters include all Regal Entertainment Group theaters and AMC Theatres. The buy one, get one (BOGO) free movie ticket is the program's first reward.

"We're thankful for you being our customer, and to show our gratitude, we're giving you some tokens of our appreciation. AT&T is rewarding customers with free movie tickets through AT&T THANKS - an appreciation program that does what other carriers can't," revealed the carrier.

However, it does not come across as generous as the weekly giveaways from T-Mobile, which include free $15 credit for Lyft rides, movie tickets and free medium Domino's pizzas. While the T-Mobile offer did not require a subscriber to make any additional purchase, it hit a hurdle when Domino's opted out of the T-Mobile Tuesdays program.

To avail of the AT&T BOGO free movie ticket offer, eligible subscribers will be required to validate their mobile number on the Ticket Twosdays page. After validation, they will be directed to the website movietickets.com. Here upon purchase of a full-price ticket, they can automatically apply a coupon code at checkout to get a second ticket for free.

The caveat is that one account is entitled to one free ticket each week only when the promotion is running and until supplies last. Moreover, the BOGO movie ticket offer is only valid for 2D movies being shown by the two participating theater chains. The offer is only available for postpaid subscribers, so tough luck if you are a prepaid customer on AT&T. Employees of the carrier cannot participate in the offer.

AT&T's Thanks reward program also intends to offer loyal subscribers with pre-sale tickets for specific Live Nation concerts. Eligible subscribers will be able to buy the tickets before the sales open up to the general public.

I was reasonably impressed with this one from the moment I saw it. T-Mobile does a thing they call "T-Mobile Tuesdays," where they offer their customers special deals on various activities and products. This particular edition was all about $5 movies. It featured a fun GIF up top, and they even used dynamic content to pull in the closest participating movie theaters.

... but then, in the name of fairness, I opened it again on mobile to see how it looked compared to Verizon's campaigns. It was a solid mobile experience, but that isn't what captured my attention. When I opened the forwarded email at our office in downtown Nashville, it pulled in the three closest movie theaters to me at that moment.

This time, it was a buy-one-get-one movie ticket offer, and they focused the email around a trending movie at the time, Wonder Woman. I absolutely love the design here: The black background helped the campaign stand apart from their business-as-usual emails, and including a GIF as the video thumbnail was a super smart choice to amp up interest and keep people scrolling to find out more.

You can, and it's super easy to do. You won't get to watch full seasons, but you can watch some episode of HBOMax's most popular shows, including Game of Thrones, Insecure, Perry Mason, and more. Start watching for free through this link (we don't get paid on this link. We're just here to help!

New hit movies and episodes are added throughout the year. And of course, older episodes are available for binging. To see some of the featured series available on HBO Max, go to HBOMax.com/series, and for movies go to HBOMax.com/feature. To see what's new, open the Browse menu in HBO Max and then choose Just Added.

Yes, but it depends on where you subscribe. Hulu offers a free 7-day trial, for example, and AT&T will give you a whole year of HBO Max for free if you sign up for Internet, DirecTV, and AT&T TV Premier. For more info, check out our Guide to all the HBOMax Free Trials.

HBO Max, which replaced HBO Go and HBO Now as the premium channel's sole streaming service, is your place for nonstop entertainment. Stream HBO classics like Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, and other popular series, or discover new favorites like The King's Man, Kimi, and other exclusive releases. And with new Warner Bros. movies available the same day they hit theaters, you'll more than make up for the monthly subscription cost by saving on movie tickets.

Another way of trying HBO Max free for seven days is by bundling it with a Hulu subscription (which starts at $5.99/month). After 7 days, you'll be billed an additional $14.99/month to keep HBO Max added to your plan. You can cancel the HBO Max 7 day free trial at any time; valid for new subscribers only.
